Getting a good job is everyone’s desire. But before
getting hired a well-known process “Interview” comes into the place. It has not
been easy to crack the interview simply without properly getting ready for it.
The Interviewer doesn’t have a single or few things to observe of the candidate
but from confidence to attitude, dressing to knowledge everything is measured.
Before starting the questions to be asked by
interviewer let’s talk about the things which will not be discussed but only be
observed by the interviewer.
2. Entering
the room and sitting: This will be the first impression you will create. Neither be nervous nor overconfident. Just being polite and respectful greet the Jury, sit on the chair
(after the direction by chair). Keep a confident smile on your face throughout
the conversation with eye contact. Avoid cross talks. Listen to the questions
carefully and reply to the question confidently.
Moving towards the ice break question
mostly asked first by the interviewer.
1.
Introduce yourself:
This is the first question that you will hear from the
interviewer and this makes sense right before starting they wanted to know you.
So how you will introduce yourself, curious to know? This is how you will deal
with this question.
Just start by giving them a general overview of your
activities, your hobbies, and your current position. An interviewer will like to
listen about your education and experience to know whether you are well fit for
this job or not.
It is to note that interview may begin with small talk
like you may be asked about finding the office or the weather or maybe your
weekend. To answer those questions be concise and you may ask the same from the interviewer. Like I have been doing well what about you?
2. What makes you different from other applicants?
This is the most confusing question for the candidates because you don’t know about the other applicants. That’s the reason you have to answer smartly, answer this question with the benefit you can give to the company by your experience, your skills, and your intelligence because the company doesn’t want a robot with the best academic grades but someone who can benefit their company by there experience and skills.
3. Why you
applied for this job?
Yeah, this is a common question
before hiring they want to know this but it’s up to you to be a person with a
smart and attention-capturing answer right? Now to answer this question you
have to do proper research about the company, their products, their mission, and
what they want to achieve because when you are applying they want some benefits
from you, if you are able to give them those benefits then they will select you
otherwise, you lost the chance. Answer to this question must contain things,
like how your experience can benefit their company, how your goals are attached
to this job, and how you can improve their products and help them to achieve
their goal as well.
4. From where
you heard about this position?
This is a simple question here you have to be honest
just tell them the truth from where you heard about this job but if the answer
seems embarrassing then don’t tell them just let them know that you heard from
a friend, from the newspaper if they had advertised there or just use other
option.
5. Why should
we hire you?
This is where 90% of the applicants fail to answer.
But this question is a game-changer if asked by the interviewer. Because this
is the place to sell your skills. Tell them that you don’t just work, you will
show the results of that work. You are the one who can adjust or fits with the
culture and employees of the office and tell them something unique that other
candidates don’t have.
In the end, you just have to remember this, you have
to be confident but don’t be overconfident. Try to keep the balance. Your
confidence, your appearance is the first impression so don’t forget to focus on
them.
Good luck.
